The 5 Best Tunis Medina Walking Tours

5 tours  ·  from $31

The medina is a working souk, not a museum, and it is very easy to lose the thread of it. These 5 walks cover the Zitouna, the perfume and chechia lanes and the covered markets, priced by length with a note on how much shopping each one involves.

Travel from Sousse in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Sidi Bou Said, Carthage, and either the Medina of Tunis or Bardo Museum. Your multilingual driver host, including guides such as Otman, Ahmed, Hsin, and Amine, provides local tips while you explore at your own pace.

“The driver was very pleasant and friendly. The tour is very flexible, time wise, but I would have liked a little more guidance on what is a good amount of time to spend in each area. It's difficult to say how long you want to spend somewhere you've never been before. Also some lunch options would be helpful rather than being asked where do you want to eat lunch.”

5.Private Group Day Tour Tunis Medina Carthage Sidi Bou Said

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 3 reviews

Spend 6 to 8 hours with your private group visiting Carthage, the Medina of Tunis, Sidi Bou Said, and possibly the Bardo Museum. Noureddine Boukari arranges private transport, with a guide who can explain the sights in English or Spanish.

“Our guide was very knowledgeable and obviously excited about sharing his country with us. He was also patient with our group of 8, and spoke to us in Spanish and English. The negative was the driver who obviously made some wrong turns; we passed same locations many times. This led to us not seeing some of Punic Carthage.”
